PlantMakers Fund Raiser Program:
We will put together a formal proposal for your Fund Raiser. Fund Raisers can include:
Economics of PlantMakers’ Fund Raisers:
The Fund Raiser keeps 50% of the retail sales price. This is “standard” in the Fund Raising Business. For example, if it is the CyberPlant that is sold at $10.00, the Fund Raiser keeps $5.00 per unit. If the product sold is the Burlap Wrapped planter at $20.00, the fund Raiser keeps $10.00 per unit sold.
Price Points:
The most popular “Price Points” for fund Raisers are $10.00 or $20.00. We suggest that ONE PRODUCT be offered. It’s simple, and variety is achieved through different colors. For example, the CyberPlant pouches come in several colors.
Personalization:
The product can best be “personalized” through the use of a “hang tag” affixed to the product that can have the name, logo, etc. of the Fund Raiser. For larger volumes (1,000 pieces or more) the CyberPlant pouches can be imprinted.
Promotional Materials:
PlantMakers creates and prints “Promotional Sell Sheets” with pictures of the product(s) to be sold, explanation of the Fund Raiser. The Customer Order Form is on the reverse side of the flyer.
Contests, Awards and Incentives:
In every Fund Raiser, it’s important to establish competition and awards. The contests can take the form of individual awards (he/she who sells the most), or Team Awards (Always a good idea to break-up a Fund Raising Group into Teams, and have the Teams compete). The actual “awards” are established between PlantMakers/The Distributor and the Fund Raising organization. For example, prizes could include such things as...
Order Processing:
A Fund Raiser has a beginning and an end. For example, it will commence on the 15th of the month, and end on the 30th of the month. Typically, one person in the Fund Raising group, assisted by the PlantMakers Distributor will be in charge of collecting the orders. At the end of the Fund Raiser, all orders are then transmitted to PlantMakers.
Packaging & Shipping of Orders:
Each order is individually packaged according to the customer’s name, with his/her Order Form attached to it. If a customer orders 4 CyberPlants, for example, they would be placed in a bag, with the Order Form stapled to it. The orders are generally shipped to the Fund Raiser within one week from the time we receive all of the orders.
Shipping of the CyberPlants (for example) in BULK to the fund raising group is charged to them. In most cases, it will amount to about $.15 per unit.
The CyberPlants are packed (Called "picking") and labeled for each sales person. For example, if Billy Smith took orders for 6 CyberPlants, there would be a package with his name on it with 6 CyberPlants in the "bag" with copies of the orders of the purchasers. Then he delivers them.
If Billy smith took an order from someone out-of-town, we would ship individually to that person and the customer would pay the S&H. (The S&H calculations are on the Fund Raiser Order Form). However, in most local fund raisers for schools, churches, sports teams etc., the folks are local.
In the instance of on-line orders that are generated from the fund raiser's page that we set up, the S&H is added to the customer's order like any other on-line order, and the fund raiser receives their 50% of the retail purchase.
Payments:
Payment is made to PlantMakers at the time the Orders are submitted. Individual customers pay in full for their orders at the time the order is made. Checks are payable to the Fund Raiser; cash is collected by the Fund Raiser. If the customer desires to pay by credit card, the cc information is indicated on the Order Form, and PlantMakers merchant account will be used. In other words, the Fund Raiser does NOT have to establish its own credit card merchant account.
Internet Marketing – Fund Raiser Web Page:
A very innovative and interesting addition to Fund Raising created by PlantMakers is the establishment of a web site for the Fund Raiser to generate on line orders. There’s NO COST for this to the Fund Raising organization.
The purpose for the web site is to generate orders from friends, family and business contacts that live out-of-town. So, members of the Fund Raising group can announce the Fund Raiser to out-of-town friends, family etc. via e-mail.
Plus, we would keep the web site operating for a couple of months. Why? Once someone takes a CyberPlant to an office, for example, other people will see it and want to order. So, the sales can grow significantly. The orders generated on line come to PlantMakers, we fill the order, ship to the customer (cost + S&H) and credit the Fund Raiser with their 50% of the price. It's a great idea!
